Defy Gravity

Remember the principle of the apple dropped.  Gravity.  Sometimes life is like gravity.

Today on the way to school, one of my children was facing something they didn't want to do.  They felt stuck and angry.

Another child said, "Look in the sky! Wow!"

We looked out of the front glass of our van, and there was a jet with his smoke trail moving straight upwards into the sky.  It was framed in front of us, as we headed down our driveway.  As we turned toward the school, we discovered the picture of what looked like a flower blooming already painted with smoke across the horizon.  I only have to travel 1.3 miles to school, but by the time I was turning back to go home.  The same jet had already moved all the way across the sky and returned back to move upwards again in the same spot we had seen him when we left the house.  I was stirred to remember that we can hold the hand of the Father and again and again move upwards toward freedom and the joy of His will.

Science has found ways to defy gravity.  So much more the power of the Lord.  Imagine what is possible when our will agrees with the will of the Father for the day.  Gravity defied.

Today's example was encouraging to ALL of us on our morning ride.  May it encourage you as well.

"He will bless the babies from your womb and the harvest of grain, new wine, and oil from your fields; he'll bless the calves from your herds and lambs from your flocks in the country he promised your ancestors that he'd give you. You'll be blessed beyond all other peoples: no sterility or barrenness in you or your animals. God will get rid of all sickness. And all the evil afflictions you experienced in Egypt he'll put not on you but on those who hate you." (Deuteronomy 7:13-15  MSG)

Jet stream in the sky
Moving upwards as the sun rises
Your will revealed

Joy unspeakable
Look up
God is able to free
