When I looked out the window this afternoon, I was mesmerized by a constantly changing light pattern on the ceiling of the patio.  Circular in shape, this Kaleidoscope of movement provided a pleasant reprieve from the chaos around.  Thoughts of God's view of us and the call he has on our lives to live through him began flooding through my mind and heart. Identity can be tricky, especially if we cannot TRULY see who we are.  Many of us have seen the movie 'The Man in the Iron Mask' that was on screen several years back.  The thought of the mask came to mind recently as I pondered about our sluggish and caged thinking in relation to our identity in Christ.  The mask hid who the prince really was, an equal heir to the throne.  It did not change who he was, the identity was simply hidden beneath the heavy laden burden of what others had applied to his face.  He was isolated in the tower, simply because his identity was hidden.  What is the truth about our identity? 1.  We are His masterpiece. I was thinking about why many people see a broken mirror seen as 'bad luck'?  We are afraid og letting go of the familiar, even the deception regarding self. Are we HOLDING onto the image of self = stamina, sense of well being?  Is it true that the image we have seen for so long, surrendered and broken is a bad thing? THINK ABOUT IT:  When we look into the reflection in the mirror and gaze into the eyes of the Father, we see ourselves through the window of love from the ONE who made 'you'. "The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing."  (Zephaniah 3:17)

" But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing..."  - Galatians 4:18 I was looking at my messed up back yard today.  You see, we adopted a dog that loves to dig and dig and dig.  She became violent and went back to her previous owner this week.  We have other younger dogs.  I have been thinking of what could be done to fix our yard to be less of a hazard and also deter the other two dogs from digging, too.  Suddenly, I began to think of our soul, our minds, and our lives.  How often does the enemy come at us over and over and over, making a mess of things...if we give in to his pressure and believe his lies.  What if we allowed the Lord to start things over in our thinking?  I was talking to my sister just this morning.  There is an area of my personality that sometimes irritates me because I see it as an annoyance to others.  She perceived my thoughts by a few things that I said.  Truth began to pour...
